'Dancing Kidz' in Russia

We are extremely proud of our Moscow on-line study group who have been producing research-level work for a course similar to 'Working with Dance Therapy.' Having completed the Theory Units, several have started 'after school learn to dance clubs' in their communities, which are greatly appreciated by both children and parents. Others are combining their new skills within the children's work they are already doing with mainstream schoolchildren. After a little experience, they will be ready to take up appointments for sessional work in orphanages.

Children in care in Russia have a particular need for this kind of opportunity, which is giving our Moscow group that extra incentive. Congratulations and love to you all, we know how difficult it is sometimes to cope with all you have to do and that life in your great city is not always 'a bed of roses' for those who are just starting out on a career. You are doing really well – you have provided us all with a very special example.

Irena from Ljubljana

Greetings, Irena, from us all. You are doing some astonishing work already, even though you are only half way through our course! The standard of your work is coming on fine, you have completed the additional reading recommended for you, and what a difference that has made already. You always listen intently to my advice – even when it is definitely not what you would really like to hear! As you have taken the trouble to explain to me, Slovenia has some amazing traditions in dance and I now realise that your culture has so much to offer the rest of us. We are hoping for great things from you, as you set up your new group in readiness for our mini 'cultural-Olympics.' And try to get your friends to help you with this – I am sure they will be keen to join in! Thank you too for the sound advice you have already given me, you certainly are keeping me on my toes and sweeping away some of the worst of my old-fashioned ideas! All our students – and future students - will be grateful for that!

Monita – Moving from Dubai to Brisbane, Australia

Monita, as some of our students already know, has been doing some outstanding work in Dubai which at times must have required quite a lot of courage. She is shortly moving to Brisbane, where she will continue her studies as a 'Dance Pastor.' What an intriguing career move, Monita, we all look forward of further news from you once you get settled. I am counting on you setting up a group for our mini 'cultural Olympics' just as soon as you get your breath in the country where I myself grew up – dear old Oz!
